The Ford Mustang is proving to be the sales success that Ford had hoped it to be with confirmation that even in the UK the two-door sports model is overwhelmingly popular.
Sales data just released in the UK shows the Ford Mustang achieved 2,317 sales so far this year and that’s more than consistently popular sports models in the 250PS+ (183kW) category like the Jaguar F-TYPE and Porsche 911.
While Ford in the UK has taken more than 4,000 orders for the Mustang with many owners still waiting for their car to arrive from the US.

Ford tell us about 70% of UK Mustang buyers are opting for the 5.0 litre V8 variant.
While here in Australia the Ford Mustang is the number one selling sports car in the country.
Claiming 619 deliveries in July and 3,118 sales across the first seven months of the year, the Ford product is well ahead of sports car rivals like the Toyota 86 (169 and 1,389) and Hyundai Veloster (166 and 1,087).
