Coming on the back of the introduction of a reverse camera and digital radio in the base model Kuga late last year, the SYNC 2 system now being added to the Ambiente brings it in line with the mid-spec Trend and flagship Titanium offerings.
With Ford Kuga sales in Australia up an impressive 40% this year, Ford Australia boss Graeme Whickman says the tech-upgrade for the entry-level Kuga will only help sway more Aussie small SUV buyers.
“We believe it is perfect for young families that are increasingly choosing compact SUVs, the fastest-growing part of the hot SUV market with Ford Kuga one of the top performers this year even before these upgrades.”
“From the time you get in and see the 8-inch touchscreen – which is 40 percent bigger than some competitors – you get the sense Ford Kuga Ambiente offers a lot for the money.”
The Ford Kuga Ambiente is priced from $27,990.
