The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) recall notice advises that the internal component of a non-compliant electrical relay might disrupt the starter control.

This could damage the relay by overheating and pose a possible fire risk.

Affected Peugeot 508 owners will be contacted by direct mail and asked to arrange an appointment with an authorised Peugeot dealer where the starter control relay will be checked and if necessary, replaced at no cost.
