The recall of the Citroen vehicles is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The recall notice advising that on affected vehicles a possible non-compliance of an electrical relay’s internal component might disrupt the starter control.

What are the hazards?

This may cause an unwanted starter activation, causing the vehicle to move if a gear is engaged.

This may also cause the vehicle to overheat, posing a fire risk.

Citroen Automobiles Australia will contact all known owners by direct mail and advise them to contact their preferred authorised Citroen dealer to arrange for an inspection and possible repair of the starter control relay.
