December arrival for 2018 Audi RS 5 Coupe

331kW Audi sports coupe coming before Christmas

We reported back in March that the new RS 5 Coupe would land in Australia towards the end of the year, now we have confirmation from Audi Australia that it will be in December.

The sportiest version of the new-generation Audi A5 (reviewed here), the 2018 Audi RS 5 is powered by Audi’s 2.9 litre V6 bi-turbo engine.

Boasting 331kW and 600Nm, up 170Nm on the old model, the new vehicle is also up to 60kg lighter.

Built on a new platform, with a new suspension set-up, and Audi’s latest quattro all-wheel drive technology, Audi say the GT muscle car will set pulses racing.

But it isn’t all about performance – Audi is claiming a 16% fuel consumption improvement over the outgoing car.

The interior has a new feel with the introduction of diamond stitched fine Nappa leather, there’s also digital radio, and a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system.

Like the green paint? Its called Sonoma green metallic and it is exclusive too the new RS 5 Coupe.
