Record vehicle sales across Daimler van and car brands…
Daimler AG has released vehicle sale data and financial details for the company for the first quarter of 2017 and overall everything is looking peachy for the German vehicle manufacturer.
Across the first three months of 2017 Daimler has delivered 754,300 passenger cars and commercial vehicles, a figure well ahead of the 683,900 vehicles handed over to customers in the same period last year.
Record Mercedes-Benz passenger car (+14%) and commercial vehicle (+13%) sales have been the main driver of the dramatic growth.
In total, across the first quarter of 2017, Daimler AG enjoyed revenue of €38.8 billion ($56.41 million AUD), which is 11% higher than in the first quarter of last year.
Other First Quarter 2017 Highlights Included:
- Increase in revenue from Daimler Trucks, despite 11% drop in sales
- 12% increase in Daimler Bus sales
- 447,000 new leasing and financing contracts signed by Daimler Financial Services
- €1.3 billion ($1.89 billion AUD) investment in new products and technologies
Daimler AG Chairman, Dr Dieter Zetsche, welcomed the positive report from the company.
