A total of 66 Suzuki Vitara SUVs are being recalled to fix a possible software issue.

The recall affects diesel-powered Suzuki Vitara vehicles sold between the 23rd of January 2015 and the 25th of September 2016.

The ACCC recall notice advises that the Ambient Temperature Sensor Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may not illuminate due to an incorrect software programme.

What are the hazards?

This may cause reduction in engine power and the vehicle to fall outside of emissions regulations.

Affected Suzuki Vitara owners will be contacted by direct mail and the vehicle should be taken to an authorised Suzuki dealer for inspection and reprogramming.
