RAM Trucks are available now in Australia, though it’s unlikely that we’ll see these special edition versions locally.
Set for a debut at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show, RAM has previewed for us the RAM 1500 Copper Sport and Night packages for RAM 2500 and 3500 Heavy-Duty pickups.
The new Copper Pearl paint is debuting on the RAM 1500 Copper Sport and only 3,000 examples will be built.
Aside from the striking paint, the limited-edition truck gets black-decaled Sport performance hood, black Ram’s head grille badge, black tailgate badge and black body-side badges.
While under the guards are 22” polished aluminium wheels (two-wheel drive), the 4×4 version will come with 20” wheels.
Meantime, the larger heavy-duty trucks are the latest in the RAM line-up to be offered with the ‘Night edition’ enhancements.
These include a host of black exterior highlights, as well as body-colour wheel flares.
Powered by a choice of 5.7-litre HEMI V8, 6.4 litre HEMI V8 or 6.7 litre Cummins I-6 engines, RAM Trucks boss, Mike Manley, says the new offerings are sure to be a hit with North American pickup truck buyers.
“Truck enthusiasts look for ways to stand out from the crowd,”
“The Ram brand understands that it’s important to meet the demands and deliver outstanding, durable products to every type of truck buyer.
That’s why we are building the best trucks in the enthusiast segment.”
