Chrysler, Jeep and RAM models win Consumers Digest accolades

U.S. consumer publication says Jeep and Chrysler models are ‘great buys’…

You can’t beat a good old fashioned bargain and the respected Consumers Digest ‘Best Buys’ list this year features four FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) vehicles available in Australia.

The MY17 versions of the Chrysler 300, Jeep Renegade and Grand Cherokee were all named, along with two other models from the FCA stable, including the RAM 1500 pick-up.

The publication identified the models as being vehicles that deliver the most value for money within their segment, based on both purchase price and on-going ownership costs.

Comfort, performance and utility is also considered by the judges.

Here’s what Consumers Digest said about the three offerings (available from FCA Australia):

Chrysler 300

The 2017 Chrysler 300 line-up delivers on the brand’s promise of style, sophistication, world-class quality and technology – all at an attainable value.

The Chrysler 300 is America’s big and bold sedan.

Jeep Renegade

The 2017 Jeep Renegade delivers a unique combination of best-in-class, off-road capability, open-air freedom and convenience.

It also boasts a segment-first nine-speed automatic transmission, two fuel-efficient engines, world-class refinement and a host of innovative safety and advanced technology offerings.

Jeep Grand Cherokee

Jeep Grand Cherokee is the most awarded SUV ever and the vehicle that has long defined what a premium SUV should be.

Legendary Jeep capability comes courtesy of three available 4×4 systems and Grand Cherokee boasts best-in-class towing.

“With our selection of five of its 2017 models as Consumers Digest Best Buys, FCA US garnered more than 10% of the total number of Best Buys for a model year for the fourth model year in a row,” says Consumers Digest Editor Rich Dzierwa.
