2005-2010 Chrysler 300 affected by Takata recall.
The wide-ranging Takata air-bag recall continues to affect vehicles sold in Australia with the Chrysler 300 being the latest model confirmed as affected.
Affecting all model grades of the Chrysler 300, including the 300c and SRT8, built between 2005 and 2010 the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission recall notice says the driver air-bag inflator housing may rupture due to excessive internal pressure during normal air-bag deployment events.
An inflator rupture during air-bag deployment events could result in metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the vehicle occupants.
Fiat Chrysler Australia will notify Chrysler 300 owners who can take their vehicle to a Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealer for repairs.
There are not expected to be any further Takata air-bag fault related recalls for Fiat/Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge vehicles sold here.
