Early Chrysler 300 cars recalled
Just under 4500 Chrysler 300 vehicles sold in Australia will be recalled to have the driver air-bag replaced.
The recall affects Chrysler 300 vehicles built between 2005 and 2007.
The action was initiated after it was found that the driver air-bag inflator housing may rupture due to excessive internal pressure.
The fault could occur during normal air-bag deployment events.
The ACCC recall notice advises that this could result in an increased chance of occupant injury during certain crash conditions.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission are overseeing the recall.
Chrysler Jeep will notify affected Chrysler 300 owners directly with information regarding the air-bag replacement.
