Cable fault sees Mercedes-Benz Unimog recalled

The Mercedes-Benz Unimog truck is being recalled in Australian again, this time over an issue that could affects the vehicle lighting system.

Only a total of five vehicles are affected and the Mercedes-Benz Unimog recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The ACCC recall notice advising that the main cabin power supply cable connections may not have been tensioned correctly during production.

This may result in loss of power to the cabin and the failure of various systems including lights.

This could cause a hazard to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

Letters will be sent to owners of affected vehicles by Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd and repairs will be carried out free of charge at Mercedes-Benz authorised dealers.
