Door lock fault sees current BMW X5 recalled.
A potential design fault has been found in the rear child safety door locks of the BMW X5.
Models of the popular luxury SUV sold in Australia between the 1st of February this year and the 22nd of May are affected.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission say that it is possible that when the rear door child safety locks are engaged (locked), if the interior door handle is operated, the door may still open.
This may pose a fall or injury hazard to occupants, in particular, to children.
