Following on the back of the M2, three new BMW M series models have gone on sale in Australia.
BMW have introduced the M3 Competition Sedan, M4 Competition Coupe and M4 Competition Convertible.
All powered by a six-cylinder, 3.0 litre twin turbo petrol engine, capable of delivering an increased 331kW and 550Nm, the Competition models can go from zero to 100kph in 4 seconds flat.
This combined with the quad sports exhaust tailpipes, 20” star spoke, forged alloy wheels with pilot sport tyres and stiffer suspension provides a more track-like feel.
Dealerships are also offering the six-speed manual transmission as a no-cost option.
The range also receives a Shadow Line exterior trim with the grille, side gills, window trims, exhaust and rear model badge highlights in high gloss black.
M leather seats with cut out elements and power adjustment can be found in the cabin along with special M colour stripes on the seat belts.
Other inclusions DAB radio, satellite navigation, surround view, head up display, and BMW ConnectedDrive.
Being the only market to carry these models, Head of BMW Product and Market Planning Shawn Ticehurst says they are an important part of their business.
“Arriving hot on the heels of the M2, the M3 and M4 Competition models prove that BMW M is on a roll in the company’s centenary”.
