BMW 5 Series Touring pricing, specs confirmed

October arrival for 5 Series wagon

The impressive new-generation BMW 5 Series will soon be available in Australia in wagon (or ‘Touring’) form.

Confirmed today for an October arrival, BMW Australia tell us the new addition to the range will be available in two model variants – 520d and 530i.

The four-cylinder diesel-powered 5 Series Touring will be priced from $99,900, the four-cylinder petrol model is set to start from $115,500.

Both will be offered with an optional M Sport Package as well.

The BMW 5 Series range will welcome the new M5 in 2018.

The 2018 BMW 5 Series Touring boasts a new opening rear windscreen and this allows for ‘more flexible loading’ according to BMW.

Both models will boast an automatic tailgate as standard.

BMW boss Marc Werner telling us the new Touring versions are practical and attractive.

“We have a dedicated, loyal 5 Series Touring customer base.

“This latest generation will appeal strongly to these customers, while also providing a compelling option for those seeking a technically-advanced, versatile vehicle in this market space.”
