Toyota marks ongoing success of Australian built models.
While Holden and Ford are struggling to move Australian built cars, the interest and demand for locally produced Toyota cars continues to grow.
Now, Toyota’s three locally built cars are each on the cusp of achieving significant sales milestones.
The landmarks include the 30,000th sale of a Camry hybrid, the 100,000th V6 Toyota Aurion sale and the third milestone – the 650,000th time an Australian customer has chosen a Toyota Camry.
Meanwhile, total Camry sales - including hybrid, V6 and imported versions recently passed a cumulative total of 850,000 cars!
Tony Cramb is the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at Toyota Australia, he said the milestones were due to the ongoing support and loyalty of Australian customers.
“Each of Toyota’s locally produced cars has had a significant impact in its own right by meeting the demands of local motorists for style, performance, value, quality and reliability.”
Sadly, Toyota will cease local car manufacturing by the end of 2017.
