Another three local MG dealers
MG looks to be a car brand to watch in Australia in coming years and now comes news of an increase in local MG Motor dealerships.
Still in its infancy, MG currently has just three Australian dealerships – Campbelltown and Coffs Harbour in NSW and one in Kedron, Brisbane.
But that network is about to double to six locations.
MG Motor today let us know that it would soon open the doors to two new MG dealerships in the ACT, and another on the New South Wales/Victoria border in Albury-Wodonga.
The MG showrooms in the nation’s capital are part of the John McGrath Auto Group and will be located in Belconnen and Phillip.
While the new Albury-Wodonga MG takes the honours of being the first MG Motor dealership in Victoria and is part of the family-owned operation, Wodonga Car World.
MG Motor Australia boss, Zhu Chao, says the new dealerships will offer both sales and service functions.
“This is a significant move forward for MG in Australia.
“With the success of our latest model, the MG GS, and the highly anticipated launch of the MG ZS SUV later this year, we look forward to continued growth in this market.
“We’re pleased to see the momentum for MG Motor now being demonstrated by the appointment of our new dealers, with more to come.”
Warren Gill, Dealer Principal of John McGrath Auto Group, says it’s exciting being the first dealer partner for MG in the ACT.
“We recognise the tremendous potential for this historic brand in the Australian market, and demonstrate this by offering the brand in two of our leading locations.”
