Audi continues to experience strong sales growth with sales data showing Audi just recorded its best start to the year, ever.
Across the first quarter of 2016 Audi sold 455,750 vehicles, that number representing a full 4% increase in sales on the same period last year. That momentum continued through March with a 4.6% jump in deliveries and 186,100 people taking delivery of an Audi in the month.
The new Audi A4 is making a big contribution to the increasing Audi sales results.
Audi’s best-selling model achieved a 14.6% increase in sales in March and the new generation model has already seen a 36.3% increase in US sales, that’s despite the model only arriving in that market several weeks ago.
While the Audi Q7 is even eclipsing those results. Audi say their seven-seat SUV was delivered to 9,600 customers around the world in March, up 93.1% on the same month in 2015. Since January, Audi Q7 global deliveries have grown 89%!
While in Australia, Audi sales in March skipped ahead an impressive 8.2%.
Sales and marketing boss at Audi AG, Dietmar Voggenreiter, said 2016 could not have got off on a better note.
“The record start to 2016 is evidence of our global brand strength and of the success of our entire range of models, most notably the new Audi A4 and the new Q7,”
“The strong demand in the first quarter confirms that we are on the right track to achieving another sales record for the full year in 2016.”
