Aprilia RSV4 buyers will soon have the option of a new Factory Works kit developed for the bike by Aprilia Racing.
Unveiled at the recent EICMA show in Milan, Italy, the kit increases the bikes power output to a hefty 215hp, while also improving aerodynamics and reducing weight by up to 10kg.
The engine mods include single-groove pistons, tweaked cylinder heads with machined intake and exhaust ducts, optimised springs and valves and a special treatment on the camshaft to reduce friction.
There’s also a specific map for the Akrapovic exhaust.
The weight-savings are achieved through the introduction of a lithium battery, new lightweight fuel tank (same shape and size as original), a billet upper steering plate, and carbon-fibre components.
While the exhaust system is also lighter than the standard system fitted to the RSV4.
Finally, the Factory Works kit also boasts side fairings with winglets that not only help the aerodynamics, but also provide more stability, according to Aprilia Racing.
And the Aprilia RSV4 RF also gets a special, dedicated livery (as seen in the photos).
