Alfa Romeo Giulia named Best new luxury car by The Car Connection…

A week after being named as the Most Beautiful Car of the Year (details hereAlfa Romeo’s new Giulia sports sedan has taken the Best New Luxury Car award at The Car Connection, Driver’s Choice awards.

The car review and research website asked its readers to judge this year’s best cars and Editorial Director Marty Padgett says there was a lot of love for the new Giulia.

“Our readers have voted and with the Alfa Romeo Giulia‘s win for ‘Best New Luxury Car,’ it’s clear that readers, drivers and shoppers are keen to get behind the wheel.”

Available in three trim levels – Giulia, Super and Quadrifoglio (QV), the new Alfa Romeo Guilia gives buyers the choice of three engines –

  • 150kW/330Nm 2.0 litre petrol
  • 134kW/450Nm 2.2 litre turbo-diesel
  • 380kW/600Nm 2.9 litre V6 turbo-petrol

  1. I really don’t care if the Alfa Romeo is voted as the most beautiful luxury sports sedan. I do agree that it is, and I WAS once psyched about getting myself one… but Alfa Romeo made a deal-killing move that is pushing me towards BMW, or any other car brand, carries the most important element that makes a sports sedan complete… a MANUAL GEARBOX.

    The fact that Alfa Romeo just pulled back on their claim to have the Quadrifoglio will ONLY ship with a MANUAL GEARBOX just stung me in the worse way. I prefer a sexy car where I am able to “feel” and “control” the power it wields.

    Again, Alfa, you guys shot yourself in the foot. Being back the MANUAL GEARBOX, and you’ll get MORE business and popularity in the states.
