AMG GT recalled over drive shaft issue

Just eight cars affected in AMG GT recall

A recall of just eight AMG GT vehicles sold in Australia is underway after a potential issue with a drive shaft was identified.

The recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The ACCC recall notice advising that a joint on the drive shaft may come loose resulting in a loss of drive.

What are the hazards?

A loss of drive may result in a potential crash hazard causing injury to occupants and/or other road users.

A letter will be sent to owners of affected vehicles and repairs will be carried out free of charge at Authorised Mercedes-Benz Dealers.
