Alfa Romeo confirms further local Stelvio specifications

First Alfa Romeo SUV confirmed to land early 2018

It might take the purists some time to get used to, however the Australian arrival of the first Alfa Romeo SUV is now only a few months away.

Known as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the Italian car company today let us know some more details on the all-new offering, including that the model will be offered initially across three variants.

There’s still no word though on Australian pricing for the offering, we will keep you updated.

The fourth model in the Alfa Romeo Stelvio line-up, the sporty Quadrifoglio, will come a later in the new year.

All variants will feature all-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission, while the initial offerings will be powered by a choice turbocharged petrol or diesel engines:

  • 2.0 litre turbo-petrol producing 149kW/330Nm
  • 2.2 litre turbo-diesel producing 156kW/450Nm

Alfa Romeo is quoting a 0-100km/h time of 7.2 seconds for the petrol, 7.6 seconds for the diesel.

While autonomous emergency braking has been confirmed as a standard feature, and we can now confirm that Aussie buyers will be offered optional packages, including - Super “Lusso” and Veloce.
