We’re pretty sure it’s going to feature among our Car of the Year finalists this year, now the new-generation Mazda CX-5 has also taken accolades from another publication.
Adding to a string of awards since the second-generation model was launched in Australia in March, Mazda has just picked up the trophy for being Digital Trends 2017 SUV/CUV (compact utility vehicle) of the Year.

The Digital Trends Car Awards recognize the top new automobiles introduced each year and editors judged award entries on technological advancement as well as overall design for consumer experience.
“While the Bentayga and F-Pace met expectations, the CX-5 exceeded them, offering more fun, style, and character than one would expect at its price point.” – Digital Trends
The editors were particularly impressed by the CX-5’s combination of “engaging handling, sharp-looking exterior and satisfying utility capability.”
Tetsu Nakazawa from Mazda welcomes the recognition.
“We’re grateful that Mazda CX-5 was recognized by Digital Trends, further demonstrating the quality, craftsmanship and overall upmarket experience that sets it apart in the crowded, competitive segment,”
“We are proud that our vehicles continue to receive praise for their driver-centric focus and class-above refinement.”
