Volvo continue to tease us ahead of full reveal

We’re getting close to a full reveal of the first Volvo Cars compact SUV – the XC40.

As we’ve been covering in recent months, Volvo has done a terrific job keeping the final design of the car a mystery, while also teasing us with small glimpses of the all-new offering.

The latest are these graphical representations of the vehicle, and this image of the vehicle from the ‘birds-eye’ camera…

volvo xc40 birds-eye cameraVolvo has spruiked some of the safety and convenience features that the new XC40 will boast, including a semi-autonomous Pilot Assist system, and the latest generation of the City Safety system.

The images also confirm that the 2018 Volvo XC40 will boast a 360° Camera system (as seen above).

Håkan Samuelsson, president and chief executive of Volvo Cars, tells us the new offering will be one of the best-equipped small premium SUVs available.

“The XC40 is our first car in this rapidly growing segment and has a clear focus on navigating today’s hectic city environments.

“Building on Volvo’s heritage as the leader in safety, the new XC40 will offer the best possible safety standards combined with an easy-to-use interface and convenient connected services.”
