2018 Volkswagen Golf lands in Australia

New VW Golf 7.5 now available

Look out small car rivals, Volkswagen’s long-awaited (nearly) all-new Golf is just landing in dealerships now.

We’ve brought you rolling coverage of the ‘7.5’ series Volkswagen Golf in recent months, now we can bring you all the final details on the new model.

Volkswagen tell us the big selling point for the new arrival is the standard features list available across all variants, but particularly the well-equipped entry-level version – the 110TSI.

Available in hatch form only, the starting price of $23,990 (manual) and $26,490 (7-speed DSG auto) gets you an extensive list of features, including:

  • 110kW/250Nm 1.4 litre turbo engine (Golf range previously started with 92kW engine)
  • Front Assist with City Emergency Brake
  • Cruise control
  • Leather multi-function steering wheel
  • 8″ audio/infotainment system
  • App-Connect and Bluetooth
  • Reverse camera
  • Seven airbags
  • Driver Fatigue Detection system
  • 16″ alloy wheels
  • LED tail lights/daytime driving lights

Don’t forget Volkswagen has special drive-away pricing new Golf too.

For those looking for a Golf Wagon, this body style is offered from the mid-spec Trendline model grade and up and is priced from $24,990 (manual) and $27,490 (7-speed DSG auto).

While the new Volkswagen Golf 7.5 also brings a new petrol-powered version of the Golf Alltrack.

The ‘off-road’ Golf also introduces a new 380Nm diesel engine.
