Holden to offer rugged off-road capable Commodore in 2018…

Some exciting news for Holden today with confirmation coming that the new imported Holden Commodore would be offered in a third body style – Holden Commodore Tourer.

Arriving in Australia in 2018 to sit alongside the sedan and wagon variants of the Commodore, Holden this morning confirmed Australian buyers would have access to the ‘beefed-up’ off-road capable Commodore Tourer.

2018 Holden Commodore Tourer Key Data:

  • Based on Opel Monza Concept
  • All-wheel drive
  • 110mm longer than new-gen Commodore sedan
  • 20mm longer than new-gen Commodore wagon
  • 20mm extra ground clearance
  • 40/20/40 seat splits

The Commodore Tourer is expected to be powered by the model’s 230kW V6 petrol engine, though this is yet to be officially confirmed.

Communications director at Holden, Sean Poppitt, tells us the Holden Commodore Tourer will be the icing on the cake for the keenly-anticipated new Commodore.

“The next-generation Commodore Tourer gives the range a new level of appeal,”

“Combining Australia’s love for SUVs with the practicality of a wagon and the driving appeal of a sedan.

“The Commodore Tourer gives our range a new dimension.”

Holden Commodore Tourer will be available in Australia in 2018.
