2018 Holden Commodore (Opel) debuts in Geneva

New-gen Opel Insignia makes public debut ahead of local arrival…

Here it is, the car that Holden needs to hit the ground running in Australia when it lands early next year – the Opel Insignia.

To be rebadged and tuned for Australian conditions, what will be the new-generation Holden Commodore made its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show overnight.

Holden telling us this morning that the Insignia/Commodore will be a giant step change, with the new vehicle promising sleek, premium design, state-of-the-art technology features and exhilarating performance.

GM Australia Design Director, Richard Ferlazzo, says his Aussie design team helped create the distinctive Insignia/Commodore styling.

“We’re more than confident everybody will love it,”

“We’ve been in discussions with Opel and made sure the Commodore DNA is strong in the car with an athletic stance, muscular flowing lines and a strong road presence.”

“All this hints at the exceptional drive experience and high-tech features.”
