The new Citroen hatch is here in just the one model grade and prices kick off from $22,990.
Under the bonnet is the same Euro 6 compliant 81kW/205Nm 1.2 litre turbo-petrol engine that powers the Citroen C4 Cactus.
A six-speed auto comes as standard in the new-gen Citroen, a manual transmission won’t be offered.
Like the C4 Cactus, the new C3 also boasts the quite quirky ‘Airbump’ protection on the doors, and standard features on the new offering will include:
- 17″ alloy wheels
- LED Daytime Running Lights
- Front Electric windows
- Front, Side and Curtain airbags
- Height and reach adjustable steering wheel
- Height adjustable driver’s seat
- Auto headlights and wipers
- Reverse camera
- Rear parking sensors
- Digital radio
- Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
And there’s also a Safety Pack and it brings Lane Departure Warning, Active Seatbelt Safety, Speed Limit Recognition and Coffee Break Alert.
Citroen tell us the new offering represents a change for the motoring scene, with the versatile little hatchback setting a style of its own.
“A comfortable car with real personality, it is set to appeal to new customers looking for a modern car of character.” Linda Jackson, Citroen CEO
Citroen delivered 134 cars in September, an 86.1% improvement on the same month last year.
