The Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the Italian brands first ever SUV, is about to hit Australian streets, but we’re still a few months away from the arrival of the flagship version – the Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
Now we can confirm a few more details on what we have to look forward to when the ‘hot’ version of the Stelvio lands.
How hot is it? It holds the lap record for its class on the famous Nürburgring circuit - 7 minutes 51.7 seconds.
Just landing in European dealerships now, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio is powered by a 380kW/600Nm 2.9 litre V6 bi-turbo petrol engine.
The engine, developed by Ferrari, pushes the Stelvio to 100km/h in under 4.0 seconds.
Power is sent to the ground via an all-wheel drive system with Active Torque Vectoring.
And the Stelvio Quadrifoglio benefits from weight-saving materials such as carbon-fibre and aluminium, Alfa Romeo telling us this helps keep weight down to a best in class 1,830kg.
Beefed-up brakes and active sport suspension help complete the package.
We’ll bring you Australian pricing and specification details when confirmed by Alfa Romeo Australia.
