2017 Volvo S90/V90 score five-star safety rating

Euro NCAP hands top safety credentials to all-new Volvo offerings…

It shouldn’t come as a great surprise given Volvo’s well-earned safety record, but the latest new Volvo cars have just earned maximum safety scores.

The all new Volvo S90 saloon and V90 estate have earned five-star Euro NCAP scores and did it with ease racking up a score higher than any score recorded in 2016.

The crash testing authority telling us the Volvo models impressed for a number of reasons, not the least for the standard-fitment of autonomous emergency braking for cars and pedestrians.

Euro NCAP’s top-3 best performing cars ever are all Volvos.

Euro NCAP’s Secretary General, Michiel van Ratingen, congratulated Volvo on the results.

“Volvo has invested in safety, has made key technologies standard across the model range and the results speak for themselves: a very impressive five-star rating.”
