After recently passing a big one million car milestone the Skoda Octavia has now come in for a significant update for 2017.
Arriving in Australian dealerships now, Skoda tell us the update brings with it up to $4,300 in extra value, while pricing is up from between just $500 and $1,300.
The 2017 Skoda Octavia range is priced from $22,990.
Once again being offered in four different model grades, Ambition, Style, RS and the 4×4 Octavia Scout, there are also still five different engines available, three petrol models and a two diesels.
While standard features in the entry-level model include:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Reverse camera
- Rear parking sensors
- Skoda Front Assist with City Emergency Brake
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
The update also brings new optional Sports Pack and Tech Pack equipment packages as well.
Boasting a five-year warranty, two years more than most of its mid-size rivals, Skoda Australia boss Michael Irmer says the new 2017 Octavia makes a very compelling case.
“As with all ŠKODA cars, the renewed Octavia was built on four pillars: safety, quality, more care for your money and carefree ownership.
“In all four of these aspects, a buyer can compare the Octavia in any of its versions to a same-sized prestige car and find that it is a superior offering.
“Closer to the Octavia’s price point, there simply is not a serious rival.”
