New Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe to debut in Frankfurt.
The upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show is again going to be the stage for the official arrival of some exciting new Mercedes-Benz offerings.
Already in the pipeline is the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Convertible and now comes confirmation that an enhanced 2017 model of the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe will also debut at the motor show.
The biggest changes look set to come underneath the sporty Mercedes-AMG model with engineers dropping in the same 4.0 litre V8 bi-turbo engine already used in the C 63 Saloon and the C 63 Estate.
They are also giving the coupe a wider track front and rear, Mercedes-AMG telling us this enables the vehicle to hug the road better.
Flared wheel arches are required to allow for the increased width of the axles and the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe will sport wider tyres too – 285mm at the rear and 255mm on the front!
While other visual styling changes for the coupe will include a new-look rear with a redesigned diffuser and side-skirts.
Set to arrive in European dealerships next March, Mercedes-AMG Chairman Tobias Moers says the new C 63 Coupe is going to be something special.
“The new C 63 Coupe embodies our conception of progress: It offers impressive longitudinal and lateral dynamics at an extremely high level along with improved fuel economy,”
“In addition, we are making a bold visual statement with the muscular design. Our customers can therefore experience the progress with each of their senses: seeing, hearing, feeling and, above all, driving!”
