There’s an updated range of Mercedes-AMG C 43 models arriving in Australian dealerships in October.
To be offered in Sedan, Estate and Coupe, the sporty Mercedes-Benz C-Class models are powered by a new, AMG-specific, 270kW/520Nm 3.0 litre V6 twin-turbo engine.
Mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and with AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard, Mercedes-Benz tell us the new engine benefits from advances including NANOSLIDE cylinder coating which reduces friction and improves efficiency.
The transmission also boasts a model-specific software application that significantly reduces shift times, according to the German car company.
While standard kit in the new AMG C 43 models includes:
- Head-up display
- AMG Night Package
- AMG 19-inch wheels
- AMG RIDE-CONTROL sports suspension
- Sports exhaust system
- LED Intelligent Light System
- Panoramic glass sliding sunroof
- Burmester® surround sound system
- COMAND Online Navigation and Infotainment
- Heated seats (standard only in Coupe)
Pricing for the new model starts from $101,900 (Sedan), while the Estate will start from $104,400 and the Coupe from $105,615.
Mercedes-AMG chairman Tobias Moers says Australian customers won’t be disappointed.
“The ‘43’ models boast the characteristic AMG genes and thus consistently interpret our brand essence of ‘Driving Performance’ in their segment.
“Sports car technology and motor racing flair thus become more attainable and appeal to a broader customer base.”
