Record sales and increased profits for supercar brand…

Lamborghini had some difficult years, however under the ownership of the Volkswagen Group the good times just keep on rolling.

The supercar manufacturer has just confirmed 2016 sales and profit data and everything looks quite rosy.

For Lamborghini in 2016 sales increased by 7% to 3,457 units, while turnover was up 4% to $1.26 billion (AUD).

Leading the sales charge in 2016 was the Huracán with 2,353 sales, (up from 2,242 in 2015), while the Aventador increased from 1,003 units in 2015 to 1,104 units in 2016.

But whats making the Lamborghini team even more optimistic is the prospects of the first Lamborghini SUV – the Urus.

Lamborghini is tipping the new model to double current production/sales figures when it comes to market this year (in Australia in 2018).

“Lamborghini is once more outperforming our planned figures.

“In the face of the biggest expansion in our company’s long history, in the build-up of our product portfolio, our development and production capacities, we are introducing fascinating new products, creating new jobs and increasing our profitability.

“All of this could not have been done without our excellent team that deserves all the credit.”
