2016 Jaguar XE Gets Tops Safety Honours

Euro NCAP gives 2016 Jaguar XE Best in Class honours.

The Jaguar XE has moved on a step from a five-star Euro NCAP safety scoring, being named the best car in its class for safety.

The 2016 Jaguar XE topped the large family car category with Euro NCAP, the European crash testing authority, praising the high levels of active and passive safety systems fitted to the XE as standard.

Kevin Stride from Jaguar says safety has always been a top priority for the XE.

“We set out to develop the driver’s car in the segment, but also we wanted to provide outstanding levels of occupant and pedestrian safety.

“By combining our Advanced Aluminium Architecture with the most advanced technology available we were able to meet all of our targets.

“The XE has already proven itself the benchmark for vehicle dynamics, and now this Euro NCAP award is recognition that we delivered on safety as well.”

Michiel van Ratingen, Secretary General of Euro NCAP says the Jaguar XE is worthy of the best car in its class honour.

“Euro NCAP gives top honours to the Jaguar XE which offers the highest levels of occupant protection and avoidance technology, and rewards the XE as Best in Class of 2015 in the large family segment.

“Euro NCAP particularly congratulates Jaguar for making all important Safety Assist features standard equipment.”

The 2016 Jaguar XE range in Australia is priced from $60,400.
