2016 Ford Mustang Sold Out in Australia

Ford Australia sells entire stock of 2016 Ford Mustang.

2016 Ford Mustang Sold Out in Australia - Ford Australia has pre-sold every new Mustang that has arrived in Australia.

The first shipment of right-hand drive Ford Mustangs has landed at Melbourne’s Appleton Dock and all vehicles that wheel off the ship already have Australian owners!

Ford Australia today announced that the entire 2016 supply of Ford Mustang vehicles, some 4,000 cars, has already been sold, that leaves new buyers with a hefty delay before taking delivery of their own ‘pony car’.

86 percent of Australian Ford Mustang buyers have opted for the V8 version.

With Ford Mustang deliveries to Australian buyers expected to start happening in coming days, Ford Australia boss, Graeme Whickman, says Australian interest in Mustang has been overwhelming.

“We are simply overwhelmed and humbled by the reception to Mustang thus far, which is probably our closest equivalent to the Beatles first trip to Australia,”

Interestingly there hasn’t been a great demand for convertible variants. Ford Australia tell us around 88% of Australian Mustang buyers have so far chosen the fastback version.

We will keep you updated regarding Australian Ford Mustang supply and availability in coming months.
