BMW lifts the lid on new BMW M2.

2016 BMW M2 unveiled - the all-new BMW M2 will be in BMW dealerships next year.

The BMW M2 has finally been unveiled with the keenly anticipated replacement for the BMW 1 Series M Coupe expected in local BMW dealerships next year.

Under the bonnet of the 2016 BMW M2 will be BMW’s turbocharged straight-six engine that will offer 272kW and up to 500Nm (under overboost). The small rear-wheel drive coupe launching (with the help of Launch Control) to 100km/h in just 4.3 seconds!

Other ingredients going in to the 2016 BMW M2 include lightweight aluminium M Sport suspension, optional seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission, electronically controlled Active M Differential and 19” alloy wheels.

While the cockpit will be decked-out with sports seats, M sports steering wheel, as well as blue contrast stitching, Alcantara trim and plenty of carbon fibre highlights.

At this stage Australian availability, pricing and specification details are yet to be revealed by BMW Australia, we will keep you updated.
