2016 Audi A4 Avant lands in Australia

Audi dealerships are now taking delivery of the 2016 Audi A4 Avant with the model joining the sedan variant in showrooms.

Priced from $63,900, Audi tell us that ticking the box for the Avant doesn’t mean any compromise when it comes to A4 technology, sophistication or driving dynamics.

But, Audi say one thing the Avant has over its sibling is added versatility.

Offered with a choice of 140kW or 185kW 2.0 litre TFSI engines and with a seven-speed dual-clutch auto as standard, the more powerful engine feeds its power to all four wheels via Audi quattro AWD.

Audi Australia boss Andrew Doyle telling us that the 2016 Audi A4 Avant is sure to hit the ground running in one of the A4’s most enthusiastic global markets.

“Not only does the Avant body style offer practical versatility for these types of buyers, but it does so without compromising the stylish design language of the new A4.

“It also offers class-leading progressive technology, which has already made the new A4 sedan such an extraordinary standout.”
