2015 Hyundai Sonata scores five star safety rating - the new Hyundai Sonata grabbed a five-star ANCAP safety rating.

The 2015 Hyundai Sonata has been awarded a five star ANCAP safety rating.

Recently launched into Australia, the new Hyundai Sonata earned the top safety rating across all variants. ANCAP however did mention the lack of autonomous emergency braking (AEB) in the Sonata, a feature that is standard in the larger Hyundai Genesis.

Overall though, ANCAP chairman Lauchlan McIntosh said the 2015 Hyundai Sonata is a safe option for Australian car buyers.

“The new Sonata brings excellent all-round safety to our market having cleared the higher hurdles demanded by our 2015 assessment requirements.”

Meantime, the new Suzuki Celerio has been awarded just a four star ANCAP safety rating, check out the details.
