Audi has discovered a winning formula in 2013 with sales up 6.4% globally, the brand is also having its best half-year sales performance ever.

June was a particularly good month for the brand in Australia – in fact 1,505 new Audi vehicles left showrooms in the month and that’s the highest total ever achieved down-under by the brand.

Overall in 2013 Audi sales in Australia are up a very healthy 17.3%.

Other markets where Audi is doing particularly well this year include China (+33.5%), India (+21.2%), the UK (+14.3%) and the US (+8.2%).

Luca de Meo, Member of the Board of Management for Sales at Audi says a number of models in particular are proving popular.

”The new A3 and the Q3 and Q5 SUV models in particular contributed significantly to our sustained global sales growth in the first half of the year.”

“In the second half of the year, the A3 Sedan will make an impact in the first markets. This model will play a decisive role in continuing the A3 success story.” He said.

The A3 Sedan will go on sale from September in Europe, with the market launch in Australia to follow in 2014.
