Both the first and second generation models had sold over 70,000 units while the current third generation model has had nearly 60,000 deliveries since 2014.

The Nissan X-TRAIL had a mid-life update back in May available in three new colours with a more powerful 2.0L turbo-diesel engine on sale next month.

The 200,000th unit was sold to a soon to be family of four from Melbourne.

New owner Alison says they Nissan X-TRAIL is everything they were looking for to suit their changing needs.

“We were looking for something safe and reliable, plus something that would fit two kids, the double pram and shopping.”

“The X-TRAIL offered us all the safety that we were looking for, it has a five star ANCAP safety rating which is really important for us.”
