Fiat Ducato turns 35!

It may have taken many forms over the years but the Fiat Ducato is marking its 35th birthday this week.

The Ducato has been a camper van and a commercial van in over 80 countries around the world selling 5 million units since rolling off the line in 1981.

Winning International Van of the Year in 1994, the Fiat Ducato has lead the industry in certain areas including incorporating the gear lever into the centre console of the first time in the their third generation model, and increasing its volume to 17 cubic metres in 2006.

Today, in 2016, the Fiat Ducato boasts a payload of 2100kg with air suspension in a range of diesel engines and second generation MultiJet technology.
