Big milestone for Hyundai Help for Kids

Big milestone for Hyundai Help for Kids

$5 million raised by Hyundai

The car industry is increasingly doing more to give back to the community and Hyundai Australia certainly is doing more than its fair share.

The South Korean auto manufacturer’s charitable arm – Hyundai Help for Kids has now raised $5 million.

Those funds have been provided to charities such as Ronald McDonald House, Make a Wish, and the Clown Doctors.

Founded in 2014, Hyundai Help for Kids receives a donation from Hyundai and it’s dealer network each time a new Hyundai is delivered to an Australian customer.

Hyundai Help for Kids Delivering Results:

11-year old Eve from Coffs Harbour in NSW (pictured) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer in 2015.

While receiving treatment at the Sydney Children’s Hospital over 10 months, Ronald McDonald House provided accommodation and support to Eve and her family.

While Clown Doctors also made the time a great deal more comfortable.

Eve is now back on her feet and back in Coffs and her mother, Rebecca, says the support the family received through made a significant difference.

“The work of organisations like Hyundai Help for Kids are the sort of thing you never really pay enough attention to, until you need them, and then you just can’t believe how wonderful they are, and how much they help families in need.”
