Penske names top Detroit tech 2017

Penske Power Systems has put the nation’s best Detroit Diesel technicians to the test in their annual ‘Detroit Master Technician’ competition.

The in-house competition sees the best Detroit technicians from around the business fight it out for the crown, and a great prize – an all-expenses paid trip to the USA including a full Detroit factory experience.

Bob Akers, National Technical Training Manager, says Scott proved to be the best of the best.

“Scott displayed his highly tuned diagnosis and repair skills, edging out five other finalists in the final round.

“Penske provides comprehensive training to all of our technicians and the Master Technician award is a great way to recognise our talented staff who excel in the workplace.”

While Bob tells us the competition is all about ensuring Penske customers get only the very best service.

“Our Detroit-loyal customers expect the best when they visit one of our many branches along with the highest levels of service from our factory-trained technicians, and that is what they are presented with.”
