All-new Mazda CX-5 lands in Australia ahead of launch…
Behind the Wheel will be at the Australian launch of the all-new Mazda CX-5 next week and now Mazda Australia has just confirmed to us that the first new CX-5s have landed.
The first batch of 2018 Mazda CX-5 SUVs have arrived in Brisbane after a two-week sea journey from Japan, in total, 1,200 CX-5s will land in Australia before the model goes on sale locally.
The news of the local arrival comes after Mazda head office in Japan yesterday confirmed that production of the all-new model is just about to get underway at a second plant – a move designed to help meet the added demand for the top-selling offering.
Mazda is also keen to ensure supply is up to what Mazda Australia marketing director, Alastair Doak, is tipping to be very strong demand.
“We have never seen such a response from potential buyers for a model,”
“Over 33,000 people have registered their interest in the vehicle and that is exciting for everyone at Mazda and across the Dealership network.”
We will bring you all the final Australian pricing, specification and availability details on the all-new Mazda CX-5 when confirmed at next week’s launch.
