2018 Holden Commodore to land with five-star safety

New Opel/Holden model gets top score

The fully-imported 2018 Holden Commodore range is set to boast a maximum five-star safety rating.

Euro NCAP, the European crash test authority has just handed the European/UK version of the car, sold as an Opel in Europe and a Vauxhall in the UK, with the top safety score.

The five-star safety rating covers both sedan and wagon body styles.

The testing found the Opel/Vauxhall/Holden offering gained a 92% rating on adult occupant protection, 85% child protection, and 78% pedestrian protection.

A score of 69% was handed to the car on its safety assist features.

Euro NCAP were particularly pleased to see the active bonnet feature and Automatic Emergency Braking system on the Insignia/Commodore.
