Renault’s light commercial vehicle (LCV) range has had a breakthrough year with sales climbing more than 23% in 2016.
In total, Renault delivered 4,632 vans and light trucks to Australian customers in 2016.
2016 Australian Car Sales Data – Renault LCV:
- Renault Kangoo – 1,118 (-5.0%)
- Renault Master – 1,598 (+5.8%)
- Renault Master Bus – 186
- Renault Trafic – 1,730 (+61.7%)
As the data shows it was the Renault Trafic that was the big success story for the French brand in Australia and Renault LCV Australia Senior Model Line Manager, Lyndon Healey, says that’s very pleasing.
“In 2016, the Trafic model range grew at a significant level and actually exceeded deliveries of the old model from its last full year in 2014 (1,643 vans).
“Our dealers have continued to experience high levels of interest and demand for Trafic from an ever-expanding array of customers drawn by its eye-catching good looks, impressive technical specifications and feature-rich standard specification.”
Meantime, Renault is hopeful the new Trafic Crew version with seating for up to six will help the model find even more buyers in 2017.
